Training for CGY: Coach Jay Debuts!

As we announced earlier, we’re pleased to have Jay Marschall, aka, “Coach Jay,” on board as our resident training expert for CGY. Coach Jay will provide regular updates to our website throughout the season to help you structure your training and be all you can be by the time August rolls around.

If you’re looking for a program built just for you, you can also arrange for Jay to provide your very own personal training plan. If you’re just getting started, have a funky schedule, or have specific needs and goals for the season, this is an excellent solution.

You can read more about Coach Jay’s background and information about his services on the GYC Training Page. His first piece, Training for CGY: Winter Prep Phase is already up.

Topics covered include:

  • Riding
  • Cross Training
  • Strength Training
  • Flexibilty
  • Nutrition

No need to wait until January to get started. The cool kids are outside or in the gym right now! Either way, have a happy and joyous holiday season.

Glad you like the blog and want to follow it regularly. We don’t have any sort of mailing list to notify people when there is a new blog post. Fortunately, most blogs (including this one) have that capability built in via what is called RSS (Real Simple Syndication). Chances are whatever program you use to manage your email has an RSS reader built in. On the right hand side of the blog, just scroll down and click on the link that says “RSS-Posts” and your default RSS reader will probably spring into action. If not, you might need to hit Google for a tutorial on setting up RSS for whatever email program you use or find a stand-alone RSS reader. If you need to set it up manually, you use http://blog.cyclegreateryellowstone.com/feed/. The whole process should be pretty easy.

Barring that you can always monitor the Facebook page or know that we’ll be bringing you new content year round.
